Back in 2010 Gareth & Andrew met, we often used to joke after a hard day at work "lets pack it all in & open a coffee shop".
Fast forward 10 years & our lives completely changed by adopting our son. Life was tough and with our son having lots of additional needs, Gareth & Andrew used to visit coffee shops to recharge & be ready for the ne

Fast forward 10 years & our lives completely changed by adopting our son. Life was tough and with our son having lots of additional needs, Gareth & Andrew used to visit coffee shops to recharge & be ready for the next challenge with Riley. We often used to visit Sheffield and Leeds because Barnsley didn't cut it for coffee.
Gareth finally managed to talk Andrew into allowing him to try & open a coffee shop in Barnsley! This way we could be around for our son before & after school and Gareth would be able to work & have adult conversation!
We opened the doors to Old George 26th February 2017.

From brewing the perfect cup to creating latte art, or creating your favourite Old George dish, our team is dedicated to providing you with a memorable experience every time you visit Old George.
